These aerial photographs of Queensland airfields are scanned from prints and original negatives currently held by the Queensland Air Museum Incorporated. Most date from the period 1950 – 1980.
The collection, which was rescued from a waste bin in 2002, mostly comprises images flown by the former Departments of Transport and Civil Aviation at varying altitudes. While some are identified, others aren’t. Drop us a line if you think you recognize any of the latter.
Names – and codes – used in the current En Route Supplement Australia (ERSA) have also been adopted here for certified, military and registered airfields.
